Lots of computer, USB drives, External hard disk, SD cards etc gets infected by autorun virus daily. A computer without proper protection gets infected when any infected external storage device is attached to the computer.

Similarly, external storage devices like USB drive, SD cards, External hard disk gets infected by autorun virus, when it is attached to any infected computer.

BitDefender USB immunizer is a great free tool to protect your computer and all type of storage device from autorun virus. BitDefender USB immunizer provide dual protection:

  1. The Immunize option allows you to immunize your USB storage device or SD card against infections with autorun-based malware. Even if your storage device has been plugged into an infected computer, the piece of malware will be unable to create its autorun.inf file, thus annihilating any chance of auto-launching itsel
  2. The Immunize Computer slider allows you to toggle the autorun feature On or Off for any removable media (except for CD/DVD-ROM devices). If you accidentally plug in an infected USB drive that has not been immunized, the computer will not auto-execute the piece of malware located on the USB storage device.

Thus you are completely safe from autorun virus. Its completely free tool of just 1.12 MB
