/> In this windows 8 tutorial, I will show you how to pin a folder to jump list. This is very easy to do.

when the folder is listed in Frequent list

Right click the folder icon in taskbar to see the jump list. This jump list will show frequently visited folder and pinned folders. If the folder you want to pin is listed in frequently visited list, simply click the pin icon of that folder.

when the folder is not listed in Frequent list

But how to pin when the folder you want to pin is NOT listed in frequently visited list. Open that folder. Now drag the folder icon from address bar to the folder/ explorer icon in taskbar. This pins the folder to the Jump List of explorer / folder.

How it is useful

I personally find it useful. This saves my time and extra work. No need to press an extra key every time I want to delete a file / folder.

If accidentally I have deleted wrong file / folder, I can always recover it from recycle bin.

How it is not good

Many people are used of old style of deleting files. They just want to confirm and make sure that correct file / folder will be deleted.

How to enable delete confirmation dialog box in windows 8

Go to desktop version of windows 8

Right click Recycle bin and select Properties.<br
